'Kirsty's Christmas'

'Kirsty's Christmas' was recorded in late October 2020. Kirsty recorded in Westerton Fairlie Memorial Church in Glasgow. The Piano accompianment was recorded in Co. Clare in the Republic of Ireland by Donal McHugh, who also produced the Album.

Donal McHugh is a pianist currently living in the west of Ireland. Although classically trained he enjoys playing in many different styles and genres and has composed songs and piano pieces. While living in Glasgow, as well as having classical performances, he became a keen player in the many jazz big bands. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2014 (BMus Hons) and from the CIT Cork School of Music in 2020 (MA) both in piano performance. Kirsty said "I'm so excited to be able to release my first album in these strange times. Westerton Fairlie Memorial Church was an incredible place to record, and you can really hear the amazing acoustics in the recording. A big 'Thank you' to the Minister Christine Goldie and everyone at Westerton Church. I didn't expect to be able to do this Album and I want to thank Donal so much for making this a reality."
